(Note: The photos here were taken in July, 1996. The building is now completely demolished.)

The building next to Lourdes, known as the Hayward House, St. Bernard's Acadamy and Ursuline convent, is being demolished.
Judge William Hayward had the house built in 1907. He lived there a short time until he moved out of state. The building then became the home of St. Bernard's Academy, a Catholic school which served boarders as well as local students. Later it served as the convent of the Ursuline sisters who taught in St. Mary's, St. Benedict's and Lourdes schools.
